In continuation of the award in October 2024 of the Contract for Improvement of Al Mustaqbal Street Phase 2, Wade Adams Contracting are proud to announce the award by RTA of Phase 1 of the Project that includes the following works:
Al Mustaqbal Street an important North-South Corridor that connects to major arterial roads such as Sheikh Zayed Road, Zabeel Palace and Financial Center Road providing seamless connectivity to various parts of Dubai. This connectivity makes it a crucial corridor for commuters traveling to and from DIFC, as well as neighboring areas like Downtown Dubai and Business Bay. Overall, Al Mustaqbal Street plays a pivotal role in Dubai’s transportation network, serving as vital link between key business districts and landmarks while ensuring efficient movement of both people and vehicles.
Phase 1 scope consists of improvement of Al Mustaqbal street (D86) from its intersection with Financial Centre Road (D71) to Zaabeel Palace Street (D73) intersection including the improvement of Al Sukook Street parallel to D86 for a total length of 3 kms. The work includes solving traffic congestion as per proposed junctions’ improvements along with the construction of bridge ramps and pedestrian overpass.
The project works also include improving the existing road network and intersections, widening of existing roads, parking, cycle tracks, kerb lines and/or new construction of the same and any other works deemed necessary for the successful implementation of the project in addition to the development of any required accessibility (not limited to outer main roads but to existing agricultural farms, private / government units and future links, etc.), parking requirements, pedestrian movement, cyclist movement, disabled users’ movement, calming measures, traffic circulation and public buses circulation and to provide accessibility to abutting land uses.
