Wade Adams Contracting are pleased to announce the award by RTA of a new Contract to improve and enhance traffic flow on Sheikh Zayed Road across various locations to reduce congestion.
Package 1 improvements include upgrading an existing at-grade signalized junction and adding two bridges on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street in the Karama area intersecting with Kuwait street, covering approximately 1.3 km. In Business Bay, the project focuses on increasing the capacity of at-grade signalized junctions by adding more lanes at junction approaches and constructing a new pedestrian bridge for free pedestrian circulation at the intersection of Mustaqbal street with Al Khaleej Al Tejari 1 st, spanning approximately 1.7 km. Additionally, along First Al Khail corridor, the project includes upgrading of existing at-grade signalized junction to increase junction capacity and alleviate traffic congestion on the FAK corridor, covering approximately 1.4 km.
The project also encompasses the widening of at-grade roads and junctions, construction bridges, relocation and protection of existing utilities such as DEWA electricity and water lines, drainage pipes, telecommunications network lines.
